21 Feb Ottawa Family Activities
More Events to Check Out in February This Month
One of the things I truly love about living in Ottawa is that there is never a shortage of fun things to do here. Last time, I told you about a number of activities going on in the area, some of which were associated with Winterlude.
Today, I’m going to continue, by telling you about some even more awesome community events going on in the area!
Bring Your Family to These Ottawa Events
Now through February 23, you and your family can check out the Voudo exhibit at the Canadian Museum of Civilization. This exhibit showcases more than 350 Haitian cult objects, which all highlight the power of belief over destiny. It will definitely be a good conversation starter with the family! Contact 819-776-7000 for more information.
For the sports fan in your family, you may want to head over to the Canadian Tire Centre to check out the Ottawa SkyHawks, the new professional basketball team that’s now in its first season. Call 613-424-8733 for game information on this National Basketball League team.
Other Events Worth Checking Out in Ottawa
Prefer a little bit of outdoor skating in your spare time? Then you ought to check out the outdoor skating at Rideau Hall. Make sure to bring your skates when you skate in this historic rink that was first established in 1872. Please note: Hockey is not permitted.
You may also want to check out all of the winter activities offered at Gatineau Park. These include 200 km of cross-country ski trails, snowshoeing and overnight camping – all while being just minutes away from downtown Ottawa!
