Ottawa Communities Film Festival

The Free Thinking Film Festival was started in 2010 in Ottawa to provide an outlet for filmmakers and moviegoers alike who are looking for an alternative to the ‘alternative’.  The Film Festival has already drawn respected attention from the traditional film festival goers, and we are excited to have such a great event taking place right in our Ottawa communities!

Ottawa Neighbourhood Things To Do

The Free Thinking Film Society celebrates the efforts of risk-taking documentarians whose work espouses the values of limited, democratic government, free market economies, equality of opportunity rather than equality of result, and the dignity of the individual, all underscored by a healthy and patriotic respect for Western culture and traditions.

Ottawa Area Events

Although there are a lot of courageous voices in the non-fiction film industry producing thoughtful pieces of art which reject cultural relativism, central economic planning and American culpability for all that ills the world, you wouldn’t know it by looking at the listings for most art house cinemas. The Second Annual Free Thinking Film Festival runs from November 11-13th, 2011 at the Bronson Centre and Library and Archives Canada in Ottawa.
