Bridlewood is a charming community with numerous amenities, including the Kanata Recreation Complex, Kanata Centrum Power Shopping Centre, AMC Kanata 24 Theatres, numerous art groups, sports associations, and golf clubs. Nestled adjacent to the NCC Greenbelt, Bridlewood home buyers are able to enjoy plenty of walking and cross country trails, trees, green space, and large community parks.
Residents can participate with the neighbourhood’s soccer and baseball teams, which compete on a regular basis in the spring and summer months. Geared for children, the recreational programs are through the Bridlewood Community Association (BCA) that also supports everything from arranging community sport sponsors; communicating development information and community watch programs.
This is a very quiet and peaceful community with modern amenities. Shopping and dining are centrally located along Eagleson and Hazeldean Roads, more everyday and luxury amenities are only a short drive away in downtown Kanata and downtown Bells Corners. OC Tanspo has a direct Kanata bus service to Bridlewood and route 161 stops on Eagleson Rd.
SCHOOLS
The area offers three elementary schools: W.O Mitchell Elementary, Bridlewood Community Elementary, and Roch Carrier Elementary. There are also three Catholic schools: St. James Catholic School, St. Anne Catholic School and Elizabeth Bruyere Catholic School.
