14 Mar Ottawa’s HOPE Beach Volleyball Tournament
Ottawa’s HOPE SummerFest
Every summer, the Healing Other People Everywhere (HOPE), a volunteer driven, not for profit organization, hosts a huge outdoor beach volleyball tournament that raises funds for community based charities and has become one of the most popular and fun events of the summer.
More than 25,000 players and spectators flock to Mooney’s Bay Beach in Ottawa for the greatest summer party in the region. Over the years, participants have helped HOPE donate over $3.5 million in support of more than 110 local charities. This year, the HOPE Volleyball SummerFest just announced the charities that have been chosen for 2013. All proceeds will go to support the following Ottawa area charities:
- Boys & Girls Club
- University of Ottawa Heart Institute Distress Centre Ottawa & Region
- Make A Wish Foundation
- The Lung Association
- Ottawa Children’s Treatment Centre
Things To Do In Ottawa

- May 6-31 Team Registration
- June 18 Volunteer Orientation Night
- July 9-10 Team Kit Pick Up
- July 13 Event Day
Registration is a few months away still, but go ahead and start asking your friends, family and co-workers if they would be interested in starting or joining a team to help raise money for charities and have a wonderful time with some fun competitive volleyball!
