14 Jun Ottawa Summer Camps 2019 for Your Kids
With the summer weather finally upon us, it means summer vacation is just around the corner! If you’re eager to find something for your kids to do to keep them occupied and off the couch, a summer camp is always an excellent option. With so many different programs to choose from, you can find something that will keep your kids engaged, active and having fun. Here’s our list of Ottawa summer camps 2019 for your kids!
Saunders Farm Age 5-12
Saunders Farm is always a popular spot during the autumn, especially around Halloween. But during the summer, they host a week-long Saunders Farm Camp for kids aged 5-12. If your little ones like to rummage outside, get crafty and dress up like pirates and fairies, this is the spot for them! Campers can play in the mazes, run around the farm grounds, swim in the pool, play dress up, and soak in the sunshine and fresh air.
School of Rock
Got some budding rock stars in your family? If so, the School of Rock will keep them busy and entertained while learning more about music. This camp is suitable for musicians of all levels. So whether they’re beginner level or more advanced, you can sign up your kids for a week during July. They’ll learn how to rock out with workshops that will teach them how to use different instruments of their choice.
Upper Canada Village
If you’re looking for an overnight camp that’s short and sweet, the Upper Canada Village is ideal. Your kids will get to step back in time and experience what life was really like without our modern gadgets and gizmos. Campers will be immersed in the village, observing and learning about life in the 1800s. This is especially handy if you want to keep your kids away from their iPhones and videogames for a while. Geared for kids aged 10-17.
Let your kids burn off steam and embrace their active and sporty side at Capital Camps. There’s an array of athletic programs to choose from, including football camp, tennis camp, and multi-sports camp. Suitable for kids aged 4-16. Perfect for burning off all of that energy!
Water-loving kids will have a ball at Canoe Camp. Here, they’ll get to learn a variety of paddle sports, and spend their days canoeing and kayaking at the Rideau Canoe Club. There’s also swimming and field sports they can partake in. This camp is available all summer and runs weekly for kids aged 7-12.
