24 Apr Ottawa Family Events
Are you drawing a blank on what to do with the family this weekend? If so, then today’s your lucky day!
For my Ottawa community blog today, I’m going to tell you about some upcoming family-friendly events going on in the city that are sure to make for some magical memories for you and your family. Enjoy!
What’s Going on This Week in Ottawa?
First, you may consider checking out Frogs – A Chorus of Colours. This event at the Canadian Museum of Nature features a variety of frogs, all of which produce some very vocally-pleasing sounds. This exhibition is sure to bring out you and your family’s natural curiosity about the Animal Kingdom. It runs now through May 11. Call 613-566-4700 for more information.
Or take some time to check out Charles Edenshaw at the National Gallery of Canada. This exhibit features the first major survey of work by the acclaimed 19th-century artist and includes 80 objects and his legacy in Canada. It’s a must see!
You may also consider checking out a new exhibit at the Canadian Museum of History called Snow. This exhibit showcases how snow has influenced Canadian’s development and ways of life over centuries. This event runs now through Sept. 28. Call 819-776-7000 for more information.
Finally, consider checking out “Arctic Images from the Turn of the 21st Century” at the National Gallery of Canada. This is another thought-provoking exhibit that runs through Sept. 1. Works were inspired by Canadian’s way of life as well as native whalers, explorers, artists and others from Canada.
