Don’t Miss These Fun Events This October in Ottawa

Must-See Community Events in Ottawa

Couture for a Cause Fundraiser: Come out and join IODE Walter Baker Chapter for this fun evening of dinner, auctions and entertainment – all for a good cause. Proceeds will support Wounded Warriors Canada’s Courageous Companions PTSD Service Dog Program. Tickets are $55, which includes dinner. And a silent auction will begin at 6 p.m.

Photography Exhibit: Come celebrate the beauty of the Pacific Northwest by checking out this photo exhibit, with works by Barry Fawcett. It opens Oct. 13 and will be open until Oct. 26.

Public Lecture on Architecture: During this lecture series at the Ottawa Public Library, Meredith Stewart will offer new perspective on the heritage value of the Champagne and Plant Baths in her talk titled “The Public Baths in Ottawa: A Heritage Reconsidered.” And then Caitlin Charbonneau will discuss Lowertown’s St. Brigid’s Centre for the Arts in her talk titled, “Threatened Churches and the Preservation of Heritage Values: Adaptive Reuse of Ontario Churches.”

Murder on the Menu Fundraiser: The Citizen Advocacy and Families Matter Co-op will present the fourth edition of Murder on the menu. Diners enjoy a four course meal while they are entertained by the antics of Eddie May Mysteries.
