Area Events You Should Check Out In Ottawa This Month

Ottawa community eventsOne of the perks of living in Ottawa is that you’ll never have a shortage of things to do in your free time! From sporting events to museums, art shows to concerts – there’s always something going on!

Today, I want to tell you about a few arts events going on this month that you may want to check out.

Enjoy Time With Loved Ones At These Events

First, spend a day checking out all the incredible works over at the 38th Art Credo Exhibition and Sale, now through May 11. This exhibit features more than 110 original works by 60 local artists and is always a favorite to attend among locals.

Times vary, however, the entire exhibit will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church, at 154 Somerset Street in West Ottawa. And did I mention it’s free? Now that’s a great way to spend the afternoon! For more information, make sure to call 613-232-4500.

If you still haven’t gotten your art fill, you might head over to the Young at Art 2014 event in East Ottawa during the first half of May.

This exceptional event features Ottawa visual artists between the ages of 12 and 19 and is a must see if you’ve never been! This event, which is also free, will be held at the Shenkman Arts Centre in the Trinity Art Gallery, located at 245 Centrum Boulevard.

Finally, there is one more art exhibit that will exclusively feature paintings on canvas. This exhibit will feature the works of Jennifer Lefort and will be open to the public from now through May 31. This free event is located at 855 de la Gappe Boulevard in Gatineau.
