This week, I would like to tell you about some upcoming events going on in our beautiful city that you and your family may enjoy checking out.
These events range from science to art and everything in between – meaning that there is sure to be something that every member of your family will enjoy!
Make Fond Memories By Checking Out These Events
Now and through the rest of the month, the Bytown Museum will have an exhibit titled “Ottawa Answers the Call: The Capital and the Great War.” This exhibit explores the history of ordinary Ottawa residents during the First World War and features an array of fascinating photos and artifacts. Also, between April 19 and 21, the Bytown Museum will also be hosting Eggstravaganza, which allows participants to follow clues to find eggs hidden throughout the museum and then collect them for a prize. Call 613-234-4570, ext. 221 for more information.
Ottawa Orchid Show is another event worth checking out! This event, which will be April 19 to 20, will be at the Kanata Recreation Complex and will feature displays of hundreds of orchids. There will also be a sales area and even orchid artwork. Call 613-749-0614 for more information!
Also, just in time for Easter, you can check out the Easter at the Carp Farmers’ Market at the Carp Agricultural Fairgrounds. Considered the largest producer-based farmers market in Eastern Ontario, this event features 100 vendors and an array of produce, baked good and crafts. This event is April 19.
