Ottawa Events for the Family
The weekend is almost here! Do you know what you and your family are doing?
I’ve got you covered! Today, I’m going to share with you some upcoming community events in Ottawa that you and your family may want to check out! No matter what your interests are, at least one of these activities are sure to appeal to you and your family!
Ottawa Recreational Events This Month!
Head over to Barnyard Break at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum to celebrate the launch of the spring season! Here you can watch a variety of demonstrations and even discover with your kids what it takes to bake a cake. Don’t forget to check out the animals in the barn! This even runs through March 16. To learn more, call 613-991-3053.
For those who love ice skating (and really, who doesn’t?), you might want to check out the free ice skating offered 7 days a week at Rink of Dreams at Ottawa City Hall. Times are 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Don’t forget to bring your skates! Call 613-580-2400 for more information!
More Events Worth Seeing
Speaking of skating, you may want to check out the world’s largest outdoor skating rink (as designated by the Guinness World Records) at Rideau Canal Skateway in downtown Ottawa. Spanning 7.8 km, it’s quite the attraction! Call 613-239-5000 for more information!
For a warmer outing, head indoors to see the Two Views photography exhibit at the Canadian War Museum. You’ll see incredible photographs that chronicle the experiences of Japanese Canadians and Japanese Americans who were forcibly relocated during the Second World War. Hurry! This exhibit that began in September ends on March 23.
