Bring Your Family to These Ottawa Events
Head over to participating restaurants to enjoy “A Taste of Life,” now through April 23.This event allows residents to go out to dinner and then donate 25 percent of the cost of their meal to help fight HIV/AIDS through Bruce House and the Snowy Owl Aids Foundation. Consequently, you’ll be enjoying a great meal and helping a wonderful cause – all at the same time! Call 613-729-0911 for more information.
Or perhaps you might be interested in seeing the Ottawa Train Expo, which is eastern Canada’s largest train show. This event features layouts, displays, clinics, and artisan foods. A fun filled event for everyone! Event runs April 26 to 27. Visit www.ottawatrainexpo.com for more information.
As its name would suggest, “Vibrant” is a wonderful and entertaining event that features fine art and exquisite gifts for purchase. Held at the Library and Archives Canada, this event will be April 26 and 27. Call 613-818-3369 for more information.
Finally, for the science lover in your family, head over to the Canadian Museum of Nature for the “Creatures of Light: Nature’s Bioluminescence” exhibit. This features an array of bioluminescent creatures, including fireflies and deep-sea fish. This event actually starts May 3 but it’s never too soon to mark the calendar!
