Community Events You Must Check Out In Ottawa This February
It’s hard to believe we’re already in the month of February! It seems like just yesterday that we were ringing in the New Year!
To help you make the most of your 2014, I will often tell you about upcoming community events that I think you and your family are sure to enjoy. Today, I’m going to tell you about a couple of such events going on in the Ottawa area this month.
4 Events You Must Check Out in February
First, I recommend you travel to downtown Rideau to check out this neat collection of high fashion, cuisine and culture. Known as the “Chill Factor,” this event will be held during Winterlude and will run through Feb. 17. Call 613-241-6211 for details.
Or perhaps you’d prefer to stick closer to town and check out Warm-Up on Wellington West. Also part of Winterlude, this event will feature some wonderful shops, incredible art and even some top-notch restaurants! Call 613-729-0363 for details.
Outside of Winterlude
For an excursion away from Winterlude, you may want to check out Mexico Fantastico at the Bytown Museum. Ending on February 17, this event showcases the Mexican community in Ottawa and its affects on Canada as a whole. For more information, call 613-234-4570.
I also encourage you to check out Rink of Dreams, which offers free ice skating on a refrigerated services all week from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Make sure to bring your own skates! To learn more about how to participate, call 613-580-2400.
