Ottawa Events Worth Checking Out This Month
Last updated on May 11th, 2021 at 01:11 pm
As professionals selling real estate in the area for years, we frequently hear about upcoming events going on in the area that we then share with local residents.
Today, we’re going to tell you about some of these upcoming events that we would recommend residents attend.
Check Out These Events With Family
First, we recommend that you head over to the Ottawa Spring Craft and Wellness Show on May 3 to check out this exciting show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This event features more than 40 local vendors who sell quality homemade items and gifts that all have a health and wellness focus.
Admission is free and there are also going to be some free door prizes as well as free parking. Still, organizers will accept donations toward the cure for breast cancer. For more information, call (613) 830-8006.
We also recommend you check out Artfest at Mackay United Church from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on May 4. Located at 39 Dufferin Road, this event will feature an array of local artists showing off their works. For instance, Barbara Carlson and Deborah Lyall work with recycled and found materials to create masterpieces and Simon Moore works on pop-inspired pieces. And did we mention it’s free? For more information, call (613) 749-8727.
Come be a part of history by checking out Ottawa’s inaugural Wishbone Day stroll and Roll for OI Awareness. This event, which will be held May 4, encourages residents to wear Yellow in support of those living with Osteoegensis Imperfecta. Commonly known as brittle bone disease, OI is characterized by fragile bones which break very easily. The event will be May 4 at The FarmTeam Cookhouse & Bar at 10am. Registration is $15 for adults and $10 per child. For more information, call (819) 329 – 1829.
